Hello i have the same problem with i am stuck on private everything works exept this. I configured the host file like it says in the manual (127.0.0.1 bf2webgamespy.com) but when i run the stats client now i get fail to connect check network settings in bf2 login screen. An when i reopen the host file it has changed to (bf2web.gamespy.com bf2web.gamespy.com) I am norwgian and run european version of winxp pro. Exept this i am very pleased with bf2statistics(minor the ranking bug in my system) . So if anybody know how to solve this please help me because i really want it to work perfectly for LAN.
