Hey folks, Just dropping into announce that I crafted a nifty little program for myself that will crawl through the leaderboard and backup everyone's official EA stats for BF2! As of right now (4 hours into the crawl), i have backedup the top 12,000 players, and will continue to backup for the next 30 days. Hopefully, we can get these stats rolling here on BF2Statistics and allow people to keep progressing after the Gamespy shutdown. I will keep you all informed as new information or new regarding this topic arise
I suppose i can give an update on this now ... I decided to only backup players who had at least 1 or more points. The total players ended up being 27,797 players. The backup only took 4 hours, so i will periodically make more backups as time goes on before gamespy shuts down to get the most up to date stats i can get. Maybe we can create a custom ASP backend here on BF2Statistics so people can continue to have access to their stats after the shutdown?
Should Gamespy open public stats Feed (xml), so we can get full player data like (bf2s,bf2stats.net) trackers has. Sad news for bf2142, some data can not be imported due limited header.
The only data i was unable to backup was the Kill stats... there is no way of obtaining that information. Everything else though, we have a backup of though, so no-one will lose their stats
Yes, most of BF2 stats is possible backup, except these part of data not. But i wondering about Bf2142 stats. I will try backup some Bf2142 Leaderboard players, but yet does not have player ID list. These impossible backup: Weapon Hits Weapon Fired Weapon Time In C4 Weapon Kill In C4 Weapon Deaths In C4 Weapon Time At Mine Weapon Kill At Mine Weapon Deaths At Mine Weapon time In Claymore Weapon Kill In Claymore Weapon Deaths In Claymore Team Kills Team Damage Team Vehicle Damage Best Round for all Maps Map Data for Highway Tampa Map Data for Operation Blue Pearl BF2142: Weapon Fired Loss in Army Deaths in Kit
Using my shock-paddles on this old thread, just wondering if the data was saved & if so is it able to be imported into my home server stats, running Web 2.2.0a on a Debian dedicated server, I'm only after 3 accounts. Thanks
Sorry man, that data was deleted quite awhile ago. It only contained the stats of players who had played recently as well, not those who had been offline for a while. Also, the stats data was not very complete either (no attacker -> victim stats etc etc).
