Need advice ....
Hi,
I really need to know how to get my database stats sent to the internet. Last night I got a domain and placed a folder in it. I called it bf2stats. I uploaded the contents of the bf2stats-web files into it. How do I direct my data to be displayed?
thanks,
marty6

Edit config.php, and point it to your database url, or IP.
$asp = 'http://localhost/ASP'; #path to asp dir
$asp = 'http://localhost/ASP'; #path to asp dir
Hi MrNiceGUy!
Well, I had a slight set back last night. I was able to get the webpages up to my new site this morning. Responding back to your post, am I suppose to create another db up on the new site? I was thinking that if it were possible to point the sending of the stats to the webpages from the db on my server to two webhosting sites. Is this possible?
I have 2 areas of hosting:
One is from home ... which I can see the stats myself and the other is at 100webspace...which the site is at a subdomain. I have the ip of the subdomain. Do I need to load the ASP files to a directory up to that site?
My goal is to have the stats from my server at home to show up in two places because my stats at home are not viewable by the players. I wanted them to see their "true" stats. I had to start over on my database, which they did not mind since we are beginners at everything. The stats at cdb.bf2-warzone show our stats, but they are incorrect. The rank is correct, but the points, badges, etc... are not correct.
MrNiceGuy...your input is greatly appreciated. I hope that you have patience with me. I'm rather taxing on people when it comes to gathering information.
thanks

update: almost forgot...is the config.php file or the snapshot.py file that I need to edit the asp dir? The config.php file did not have a line to the asp directory.

the config.php i was talking about, is from the web script...
And yes, just set up the ASP dir where ever you want, and point the IP in the snapshot to your ASP location... Also the hosts file.

MrNiceGuy,
I finally got everything to work. I was able to point the data to both my personal webserver at home and also to 100webspace.com! So, I am able to see my stats at home since nobody could see them, and also on the web. Pretty cool. And, this is off of one database running off of my LAN server. Thanks for your help!
